Meet The Team

DAN MEEHAN
Dan is the Founder & Company Director of Offload Active Limited ©. He is an accredited sports coach with over 10 years teaching & coaching experience and holds a degree in Physical Education & Sport. Previous coaching roles have seen Dan work within Bath Rugby Academy, Director of Rugby at Ravenswood School, Kent & Saracens Academy DPP Coach, Somerset County U17 Head Coach, Millfield Senior School Rugby Coach and at coaching roles at Wells RFC & Tor Rugby Clubs. Dan also has prior experience of running successful sports camps as a Camp Manager whilst working for a multi-sport activity camp organisation.

AMY GODWIN
Amy is an RFU Level 2 accredited coach and was part of the Bristol Bears Women Squad between 2017-19. In 2018-19 Season Amy was credited as the most improved player of the season for Bristol Bears United and brings excellent energy, knowledge and experience to our coaching team. Amy also obtained a degree in Sport Psychology at Cardiff Met University and has coached the girls section at Wells RFC.

MAX GAUNTLET
Max is an RFU Level 2 Coach and has been a coach within the Bath Academy DPP programme since 2019. Max is a Qualified Teacher and currently works as Director of Rugby at Downside School. He has also worked at Millfield Senior School as a Teacher of Physical Education & Rugby Coach. In addition, to his current role Max also coaches for Somerset County where he has worked with both the U15 & 16 age groups and he has previously worked at Heywood Prep School as a Sports Teacher (2016-17). Max also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport and Exercise Science.

BEN HAWLEY
Ben is an RFU Level 3 Coach and has been a coach within the Bath Academy programme since 2019. Ben is also the current Director of Rugby at Kings Bruton School and holds a degree in Sports Coaching and Physical Education. Ben has also undertaken further coaching at County level where he coached the Somerset U15 age group during the 2019-20 season. Ben has also played for Plymouth Albion and is a current member of the Exmouth RFC 1stXV.

Megan Wynne
Meg is a RFU Level 2 Coach who represented Bristol Bear is the Tyrells’ Premiership during the 2020-21 season and currently represents Bath Rugby Ladies in the Championship. In addition to her experience as a professional player, Meg also brings great experience to the team from her role as a Primary School PE-Specialist for the Acorn Education Trust in Wiltshire and is also a part of the Bath Trojans coaching team who are a Bath Ladies Mixed Ability Team. 

Tom Palacio

Tom is another fantastic coach who we are lucky to have on board at Offload Active. He is currently part of Bristol Sport Foundation where he operates in a Head Coach role delivering Primary School Sport provision. Tom’s main passion is Rugby where he represents Wells RFC and also coaches in the junior section at the club each week.

Jay Stokes
Jay is an experienced RFU Level 2 Coach who currently coaches within the Bath Academy programme. Jay also works full-time as a Rugby Coach at Kingston Maurward College and is a county level coach for Dorset & Wiltshire. In addition, Jay also works for the Rugby Football Union as a England College Representative. 

Dan Connolly
Dan brings great experience to our coaching team as an RFU Level 2 coach and former professional player. Dan has coached at National 2 & 3 levels for Bournemouth RFC, County Level for u15-u20’S and has also coached youth rugby from u6-u12’s at Bournemouth RFC as well as coaching the Apache’s 7’s team who compete in the Super Sevens Series. Dan is also currently supporting Bath Rugby with their DPP programme as he works towards his level 3 coaching accreditation.

Dan’s playing experience has seen him represent Wales at the Honk Kong 7’s in 2003. He also played for Wasps u21’s and Wasps A and played professional rugby for London Welsh in the English Championship and represented both Bridgend and Pontypool in the Welsh Premiership. Dan has also played for England Touch Rugby Team at 2019 World Cup.
